Background
Ardévaz School identified two main challenges in their educational process: managing extra support classes for students and ensuring teachers’ image protection online. To address these issues, we, at Conexkt, embarked on an innovative pilot project leveraging AI technologies to create avatar-based video tutorials that catered to students’ needs while preserving the teachers’ roles.
Solution
We developed a series of video tutorials for the subject of History, following the Swiss High School Guidelines. Our approach involved customizing avatars and extracting content from PDF documents, transforming them into engaging video scripts. The project utilized AI technologies, such as ChatGPT for text, and Synthesia for video, enabling us to create immersive and accessible content for our students.
Positive Feedback and Addressing E-Learning Challenges
The video tutorials received positive feedback from both students and teachers. Students enjoyed the humanoid avatar and appreciated the pace of the videos, the keyword usage, and the inclusion of subtitles. Teachers also saw the value of these video tutorials, as they maintained content control and did not have to spend hours filming or recording.
“We are already used to using YouTube videos to understand better or revise our courses. The advantage of these capsules is that they are validated by the school and directly linked to our programs. Moreover, they are practical, as we can benefit from both the visual and audio aspects. Therefore, it is an effective way to review key points and study differently. Thanks to these capsules, the school adapts to our revision methods.”
